French Quarter Landmark

The St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter (New Orleans) is such a beautiful church. It is here that my wife and I got married a few years ago. Each time I look at pictures of the church it makes me remember that amazing day. This view is across the street from the Cathedral. A few doors down the historic Cafe Du Monde cranks out hot, fresh and delicious beignets 24 hours a day.

We try to visit New Orleans once a year and I always stop by and take pictures of the church. It is one of my favorite places in the world.

  1. Stunning …. I don’t have a clue why I didn’t have any photos from NOLA – visited for 8 days … they most have been lost in transit between Ireland and Sweden. Love the how the cathedral stands against the orange sky – fantastic light in this shot.
Cafe Du Monde … has the best coffee in USA – and their beignets was to die for.*smile

    • That stinks that you lost your photos in transit. NOLA is such an amazing city if you get away from the rif-raf of Bourbon Street and take in the history or the beauty of all the old and historical architecture in the city. Yes, the coffee is piping hot always and delicious – the beignets….YUMMMM!
