The Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois is an outdoor concert area in Millenium Park where the Grant Park Symphony and Orchestra and Chorus provide free concerts throughout the summer months. It also hosts a number of paid concerts during the summer months as well. When there aren’t any concerts going on the area remains open to the public for nice views of the Chicago skyline.
The best time to photograph the pavilion area is in the evening when the lights of the city are lit up behind it. The colors shining on the pavilion change from red to blue to white to silver every few minutes so you can get a different ‘feel’ depending on how the pavilion is lit up.

Now that Christmas is over we have a long and COLD winter ahead of us. We are heading back to Chicago tomorrow and have a number of trips to look forward to in 2014 that will hopefully get us through the annoyances that cold weather brings. We found out some amazing and exciting news yesterday – my parents are taking us Alaska in August! We’ve always wanted to go and some circumstances in our family have allowed us to do it this year. There is nothing more important than family and we are looking forward to an amazing trip!
