Preservation Hall (New Orleans, LA)

The Preservation Hall in New Orleans, Louisiana is a historic music venue that was founded in the French Quarter in the early 60s to preserve the history of jazz in the city. I believe there are shows here nightly and often has some pretty talented musicians taking the headline spot. On the outside it isn’t too distinctive of a building but the sign in the shape of the iconic trumpet is what immediately drew my eye. I just love walking up and down the streets of the French Quarter – every time I notice something new.

Drinks and food are not served within the hall (I don’t believe) and it is primarily first come/first serve to get in. They pack the house on most nights so if you are going I’d plan to get there a bit before the open.
