The heavily traveled ‘Highway to the Sky’ was a true masterpiece when constructed in 1931. When cars were first introduced to the road it was called a “scenic wonder of the world” as it presented views that most travelers were never able to see before. Eleven of the 48 miles of the road lies above treeline and thus as you drive through the road you have unobstructed views of the Rocky Mountains around you. From this point lies one of the best places to catch sunset in Rocky Mountain National Park.

You do not travel if you are afraid of the unknown, you travel for the unknown, that reveals you with yourself
