Montmartre at Sunset (Paris, France)

From the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France we watched the sunset over Paris, France. Is there any more romantic spot in the world? The history, music, wine, food and of course the scenery. The way the pink sunlight kissed the white stone of the Sacre Coeur Basilica was magical so I zoomed in tight on the Montmartre neighborhood and captured the scene with the basilica featured prominently.

The Are de Triomphe offers really spectacular views as the centerpoint of the city. The views stretch in all 360 degrees. To the East you get this shot of the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre bathed in soft pink light as the sun sets. Directly South is the ever present Eiffel Tower which stands tall over the city seemingly wherever you are. La Defense Tower dominates views Northwest. The elevator was broken the day we went so we had to climb the steps – it really wasn’t too bad but I wouldn’t recommend it if you aren’t in pretty solid shape.
