Confession

I grew up in Dearborn, Mi the HOME of Ford Motor Company so what I’m about to disclose is enough to earn me a life of harassment every time I drive the 250 miles home but I felt I’d share it anyways. My parents would get so angry when friends and family didn’t buy American cars – often I would as well but now that I’ve been gone nine years I’ve officially softened and turned my back on my country. As of today – about three hours ago in fact – I am the proud owner of a Subaru Impreza 2.0i – the Motor Trend/Consumer Reports 2012 Sedan of the year. I did my research – compared prices, features, etc…and just kept coming back to the Impreza. I wanted to hate it when we test drove but I didn’t – we went to a couple of other dealerships Saturday afternoon (Ford, Toyota, Hyundai) to get the car out of our minds but we couldn’t and today we bit the bullet and took the plunge.

Paying my Respects

So here I am paying my respects to that little car that made it all possible – the original Model T car from the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mi. It’s going to be hard to go home and pull in the driveway in this but the affordability makes it worth the ridicule.
